City by the sea
Like no other city in the Netherlands, The Hague offers a unique combination of city life and beach life. The city’s two seaside resorts – Scheveningen and Kijkduin – both boast lovely wide sandy beaches that attract locals and tourists alike. Getting to the historic city centre only takes you 10 to 15 minutes.
The Hague is the ideal city for shopping. It’s small historic city centre welcomes you seven days a week to its many flagship stores and stylish boutiques. The shopping area with the popular fashion brands and retail chains is concentrated around the bustling Grote Markt. For small designer shops visit the Court Quarter with its many cosy, historic streets and squares.

The Hague offers a rich diversity of culinary delicacies from every corner of the globe, as reflected in the many different restaurants, ranging from inviting eateries to Michelin-star restaurants. There really is something for everyone.
